Jaipur Literary Festival in Houston brings intellectual vigour

The two-day Jaipur Literary Festival (JLF) in Houston was held in association with Asia Society Texas Center, an educational organization; Inprint, a literary arts nonprofit organization, and the Consulate General of India in Houston, TX, Sept. 14-15.

Shashi Tharoor, celebrated writer and politician; Anish Shivai, Pushcart Prize-winning author; Chitra Divakaruni, bestselling and award-winning author; Namita Gokhale, a writer and publisher; and Sonal Mansingh, a celebrated cultural personality of India and a member of parliament, were some of the speakers who addressed the audience at the cultural festival.
